Communication, Information and Security Systems for Public Venue

TSL integrates customer requirements and total solutions for communication, information and security systems for convergepublic services such as airport passenger terminals, ferry piers, railway stations, hotels and commercial complexes. We offer nonstop daily operation and maintenance of various voice and data system equipment for the Airport Authority Hong Kong.

In year 1999, we won a multimillion-dollar contract to upgrade and extend the ATM network, cabling network, trunk mobile radio antenna network and the backup flight-information display systems for the Airport Authority.

We provide the following:

1. Communications Systems

PABX
Private telephone systems providing internal voice communications within a corporation and with the ability of public access.

Trunk Mobile Radio
A mobile communications system using radio trunks between switching nodes.

Wireless LAN
An Ethernet network with all access nodes interfaced with either radio or infrared transceivers. TCP/IP technology allows point-to-point or point-to multi-points access on the IP network. Overseas connections can be provided through a gateway with a firewall as a gatekeeper.

Public Address System
A voice-message announcement system, allowing both central and local access.
The integration of digital and analog technologies provides computer-controlled broadcast, zone selection, network-status monitoring, priority paging, scheduled announcements and even background music.

Cable TV
Master antenna television (MATV) broadcasts voice and television to TV outlets on a widely spread network.

2.  Information Display System

This dedicated flight-information display system (FIDS) was developed for the Airport Authority. The system extracts flight information from the airport database and dispatches it through display servers that display it on various kinds of display devices throughout the passenger terminal building.

3. Security Systems

CCTV and Access Control And Detection Systems provide access privileges control to access paths, doors, etc and provide extensive surveillance. Technologies such as electromagnetic induction, microwave, infrared and radio are used in a variety of applications.
We specialize in designing and integrating such systems with panic alarms, CCTV, announcements and fire signals to provide single, efficient and effective security control and monitoring capabilities. Advanced signal-processing technology allows motion detection and digital recording.

4. Integrated Network

Asynchronized Transfer Mode (ATM)
A high speed (OC3 or higher), high bandwidth transmission usually used for transmission backbone with multiplexed voice, data and video messages. Its sophisticated adaptability allows system to interface with different applications of lower speed and different protocols.

Structured Cabling Network
All voice and data cable (both optical and copper) are connected via the infrastructure cabling network, they are for use by multiple systems and users.

Time and Clock Synchronization
A time-of-day clock (TODC) system provides a master time-and-date reference source for synchronization of computer systems.
